Our Projects & Initiatives:
Harlem Renaissance High School & A Song For Life
A Song For Life’s mission in practice at Harlem Renaissance High School is to create, supplement & compliment the music education of the students; to provide them with additional creative tools they need to be inspired, activated, critically thinking makers of work. Our unique partnership with this historic New York City public high school enables us to teach cutting edge music skills to students in grades 9-12th. Students learn skills from industry experts in the areas of production, enginering, vocal training, songwriting, DJing & performance.
A SING OUT AGAINST VIOLENCE
A Sing Out Against Violence is our signature annual concert event and recognition awards ceremony. A Sing Out Against Violence invites artists from across genres and across the globe to come together to raise our voices as one as we sing out against violence. The concert simultaneously aims to recognize the efforts of those individuals who are working with youth in their communities to combat senseless violence. Our inaugural concert was held on Saturday, August 4th, 2018 at the MoMA in New York City from 7-11pm. See our events page for more details.
#USINGMYINFLUENCE
Catch our attention and tell us what you are doing to use your influence. At A Song For Life, we staunchly believe that as artists, we all have an obligation of using our influence to speak to the audiences we have. If you as an artist can say you are #UsingMyInfluence, and let us know by including the hashtag on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
